ZZAS - Virginia Beach: Reviews & Ratings
We arrived to Hampton inn late after a long road trip from Ohio with our dogs Loki and shanti. The on site Zaza restaurant was open late so we decided to stop in and sit at the bar for some of their interesting pizza pies and hand food options. My girlfriend got the crab your enthusiasm (sourdough flat bread with Alfredo sauce oceans 14 famous crab dip old bay and lemon vinaigrette) which she said was both delicious and unique. I got the lady zaza brick fired pizza pie. The thing I like about brick fired pizza is it has a well done underside and I have never had a doughy brick fired pizza. Both of those were delivered for sure. We decided to also share a peaches and cream slushy adult beverage sweet but refreshing. The bar tender was helpful and pleasant. We also ate on the patio one day, a baseball sized crab even joined us for lunch!
20250411 Decided to give this restaurant a try since I was staying here. I was a little worried because of some of the less than desired ratings for this restaurant. I tried calling from my room, and the phone number doesn't work. When I went downstairs to talk to the bartender, she informed me that they don't have a phone but I could order online. Interesting. I ordered the Gouda Father appetizer, and she didn't seem to understand what I was talking about. It might be one of the least order items? I customized my pizza- red sauce, mozzarella cheese, double the chicken, and wild mushroom blend. It included with 2 toppings, and she charged me for the double chicken which I thought would have counted as 2 toppings. It counted 1 and the extra was only a $1, and I didn't bother questioning. The food was ready in 15 mins as promised. The meatball was big and the Gouda cheese slowly poured out of the meatball after I cut it open. It was very good and needed salt, but I ate it as it. The pizza was very good. I do wish there was more toppings... twice the toppings would have been even better. The amount of doubled the chicken can be seen in my dog's dish in the photo. I would eat here again, if I were to stay here again.
Coming from Ny., we didn’t have high expectations! We ordered 1/2 peppproni, 1/2onion for the $10 HH pie ! This wood fired grill pie did not disappoint ! What a great spot to grab a pie and drinks coming off the beach !! Will def return !!!!!!
Our pizza wasb outstanding. We had a meatball pizza with ricotta cheese. So good. We carried it back to our hotel. I haven't tried every pizza restaurant at the beach, but out of all that I tried this was the best. Highly recommend!
YUMMY YUMMY YUMMYYY!!! The best pizza & drinks I had on my visit back to Virginia beach !! Busy busy busy tho !
What a great place for dinner. Staying at the Hampton In made it very easy choice to eat without going out in the cold. Such a great decision. We had the Crab App - amazing. Love the Old Bay season on the sourdough flatbread. Next up was a make your own pizza. Red sauce - pepperoni - roasted garlic - goat cheese and drizzle of pesto. Sooo good. The finale was the Peach - Carmel and pistachio dessert. We left very full it was so good.
This place has the best pizzas in Virginia Beach. We tried the paneer tikki tikka pizza, cheese pizza and they were both delicious. The flavor was awesome, authentic Indian flavor on the best sourdough bread. Do not miss out on trying pizzas here. The service can be lousy, very understaffed, one person serving the bar, taking orders, bringing out good cleaning tables, it’s a lot!
